Workshop on Project Monitoring and Reporting: Introduction to Geographic Methods using Open-Source Software

BluoVerda Deutschland e.V. and Weltweit e.V. in collaboration with the Institute of International Forestry and Forest Products of the TU Dresden are pleased to invite you to apply to the online workshop “Project Monitoring and Reporting: Introduction to Geographic Methods using Open-Source Software”.

Topic: This is an introductory course that teaches how to use the open-source software Open Foris and QGIS to generate spatial information for monitoring and reporting project activities and outputs. Using a learning-by-doing approach, it addresses the theoretical and practical knowledge required for spatial data collection and visualization. 
Who: The workshop targets DAAD students and graduates of development programs in Germany primarily. Students, young researchers, and professionals with experience in international development projects who would like to further qualify and professionalize their skills in project monitoring and evaluation using geographic information systems are also welcomed to apply. 
When: 24. June – 10. July 2020. The workshop is divided into six online sessions and additional online group and self-learning activities. A certificate of participation will be provided upon completion of the workshop.
